Day by Day

Day One - Arrive in San Jose and take your personal transfer to the gracious Grano de Oro Hotel in the heart of San Jose.

Day Two - Your private transfer will take you from Grano de Oro to the domestic airport for your 40 minute flight to  Puerto Jimenez on the Osa Peninsula. From the air you will have a whole new perspective on Costa Rica. Once in Puerto Jimenez your private transfer will whisk you off to the gorgeous Lapa Rios Ecolodge

Day Three - Wild waterfall hike. Hike through the virgin rainforest to pristine waterfalls and splash back along the Carbonera River

Day Four - Hike down along the cool ridges of Lapa Rios’ most impressive primary and secondary forest as your guide highlights the hidden treasures of the rainforest.

The Nest, Pacuare Lodge, Costa Rica

Day Five - This morning your private transfer will transport you from Lapa Rios to Puerto Jimenez Airport for your domestic flight back to San Jose.  You will be met at San Jose and transferred to the River Base for Pacuare Lodge.  Once you have been kitted up and have had your safety briefing you will commence your rafting adventure to reach Pacuare Lodge.

Day Six - The experience of walking to the family clans of the Cabecar natives offers a wonderful opportunity to discover many secrets of the forest. Interact with the ecosystem, and hike the same trails the Cabecars have for centuries. After visiting with a Cabecar family you will begin the trek back down to the lodge.

Day Seven - Today your choice - choose a tour or have a relaxing spa day. For your last evening at Pacuare Lodge why not have dinner in 'the nest' - a platform 20 meters (60 feet) high in a treetop where you can enjoy a meal in a uniquely splendid setting.

Day Eight - Time to say goodbye to this stunning part of Costa Rica as you depart from Pacuare Lodge by raft. At the take out point you can shower and change before you are transferred back to Grano de Oro hotel in San Jose

Day Nine - This morning take your private transfer from Grano de Oro Hotel to San Jose Airport to catch  your flight home.
